A Full Day

This whole student teaching thing is very different that I expected. I am supposed to be teaching one class this week, two the next, and so on. I should begin teaching all day on February 25. But is that the case? No! I taught all day today! Apparently my teacher is also a technology specialist and had to leave class to do something to all of the computers on the eighth grade hall. So I got to teach all day, unattended. Plus, since I am only in charge of one class, I had to plan something for the rest of the classes to do on the spot. I know it sounds like I am complaining, but actually, I loved it. I felt like I was completely in charge (I was) and it was great. I am just not loud (or mean) enough yet. Only 57 days left to practice!

  1. Don’t worry…you’ll get the hang of being a grouch to them. You have to. It stinks! It was the hardest thing about teaching to me. I never got the hang of it, well I got the hang of it. I simply did not like it – hince, I am not a teacher! It’s awesome to see that you enjoyed it!

  2. Yeah, one kid told me that I was “starting to get mean”, so whatever I am doing is working. Even though I hate being mean to them, it’s the only thing that they understand!
